Never, as gasoline is more efficient. I personally don't see the point in using a high quality energy like electricity when simple chemical energy will suffice. Most engineers will also agree. Electric cars are nothing more than a scam perpetuated to sell cars. If you follow the energy flow from a piece of coal burned at a power plant along through every process, most of the heat gets thrown out as waste, unfortunately so called green hippies don't understand Carnot efficiency's or that actual thermodynamic process never even get close to them. Electric cars are most likely a dead end unless all the worlds energy problems are actually solved. As oil prices continue to rise consumers will most likely switch over to bio fuels, and eventually hydrogen fuel cells, especially with new discoveries involving carbon nanotubes being used to store hydrogen and with the increasingly dropping costs of producing carbon nanotubes.

I'm planning a trip to Oregon in July, and I'll probably be staying in Portland. What are some good mountain biking trails around Portland? I'm ok with driving for a while to get some good riding in, but would prefer to not drive more than 2.5-3 hours! I'm not looking for anything INSANE, but some challenging trails would be awesome. Thanks!

I'm just getting into mountain biking having just acquired a Gary Fisher model. I'm wondering what is the best online forum/website (online community of experts and fellow mountain bikers) for mountain biking?
www.MTBR.com or www.Pinkbike.com. I like pinkbike alot better, theres tons of stuff on there, BuySell, photos,videos,forum, and tons of other stuff.
